Overview

As part of the Google UX Design Certificate, I undertook the challenge of designing a dedicated mobile application for music fans. The concept focuses on "Super Fans" who want deeper engagement with artists beyond simple streaming.

The Problem

Users interested in specific artists struggle to find a centralized place to pre-order albums, save releases, and access exclusive content before the official drop date.

The Goal

Design an app that visually represents the artist's brand while creating an engaging, seamless experience for users to pre-save and purchase music.

The Process

Research, Ideation, and Refinement

01

Users & Audience

I conducted user research to identify the target audience: dedicated music fans who value early access. I created detailed personas to understand their pain points, such as the frustration of missing release dates or navigating cluttered streaming interfaces.

02

Ideation & Wireframing

Starting with paper sketches, I iterated on the layout to ensure the "Pre-Order" call to action was prominent. I then translated these into digital wireframes in Figma, establishing the core user flow for the checkout process.

03

Prototyping

I built a low-fidelity prototype to test the user journey. The focus was on navigation simplicity—ensuring a user could go from landing page to purchase confirmation in as few clicks as possible.

Refining the Design

In the high-fidelity phase, I applied a dark, immersive color palette to match the artist's aesthetic. I refined the typography and spacing to create a premium feel, focusing on album art as the hero element.
